ABOUT US What is New Bern Golf and Country Club? New Bern Golf and Country Club is a private, member owned Country Club located on the Trent River in New Bern, North Carolina. It is nestled in the town of Trent Woods just south of historical downtown. It is situated on 150 acres of prime real estate in the heart of Craven County. Founded over eighty-five years ago, the Country Club offers memberships to qualifying applicants through the current membership. Athletic facilities include an 18-hole golf course and six lighted, soft clay tennis courts with a below surface watering system and two hard courts. The property features a separate tennis facility with pro shop and locker rooms, a full service food and beverage snack bar to complement the swimming pool, fitness room, locker rooms and the Trent River boat dock. The Clubhouse is about 32,000 square feet with a Casual Dining Room that seats 40, a Main Lounge seating up to 30 and a group of two small card rooms, two large dining rooms and a main Ballroom that are used privately or in combination to seat 250, overlooking the beautiful Trent River. The lower level hosts a Men’s and Ladies’ Card Room and men’s locker and shower facilities.
